
Gwynt y Ddraig Cider started production in the late autumn of 2001. Still very much on a learning curve we continue to experiment with traditional methods with an emphasis placed on experimenting with apple blends to produce new and unique flavours.

Cider has been produced at Richs Cider Farm at Watchfield for over 60 years. There have been many changes since Gordon Rich started pressing cider apples at Mill Farm although essentially the production of the juice is still traditional. In the Autumn the air is filled with the wonderfully heady aroma of crushed apples as the oak vats are filled with this seasons juice from apples grown only in Somerset.
Rich’s Traditional draught ciders are made with Somerset Bittersweet/Bitter sharp apples, then matured in Oak Vats giving it a well balanced, Cloudy Cider with a fresh apple aroma.

Rich’s Legbender Ciders are traditionally produced with a blend of cider apples grown in Somerset. It’s a full flavoured crisp, clear still cider, making it easy to drink, But beware can make you go weak at the knees!
